Not long ago, all 4 of us went shopping for groceries at Trader Joe’s, our favorite groceries stores. While Maia was sleeping, Sofia was an very good helper and helped mama pick items, push the cart and also helped the cashier lady with the checkout process.

Mama, Sofia and Tata took Maia in for a 7 day check-up and for Maia to meet her new Pediatrician, Dr. Howson. Fun times, but not so much for Maia. Thank God, all is well!
Maia’s favorite thing to do is sleep… and eat. Sometimes it is hard to know which one she likes more.
Tata thinks that one of Maia’s favorite positions is to lay in his lap. Usually this has a bit of a calming effect on her, except when she is really hungry. When she is hungry, forget about it – – – NOTHING but food works to calm her down.
Maia, Mama and Tata went to Maia’s first doctors appointment today. We are hoping that she will not have Tata’s luck of spending most of the time in the lobby or other waiting rooms…
While Sofia was out with her grandparents Mama, Tata and Maia spent the entire morning in bed, reading, chilling and talking. It was a good lazy morning. Laborious we were not.
Maia looks so much like Sofia when she was a new baby. The resemblances are obvious to Tata and Mama but probably to anyone else that remembers. These pictures, taken when Maia was sleeping in Tata’s lap should make this even easier to see.
Uncle Ben visited us the other day and spent some time playing with Sofia and looking at Maia. He is one happy uncle and is looking forward to playing with his two nieces.
Maia Gale was born on August 31st, 2012 at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland Washington. She was born at 5:47 am on a night with a blue moon. She was 8oz 7oz and 21.2 in long.
